Why are you intrigued by virtual reality?

Virtual Reality opens many avenues to innovations that can be used for business, health, government, and many other sectors. If implemented correctly, they can bring many benefit to a society.

Virtual reality provides a great platform to bring imagination into real life. It allows people to immerse themselves into a virtual world for a moment. I used the google cardboard to watch a short horror video clip and it was amazing!

I feel that virtual reality will not play a big role in my life. However, it has the ability to enhance any interaction one has with technology and it can be a game changer in the field of education, where we could use it to understand complex concepts that need imagination.

The term virtual reality seems like an oxymoron to me. Because the virtual world is not real at all but might be a mere simulation of our imagination. What intrigues me the most about this is that we can enjoy moments in this reality that might be impossible to even think about in the real world.

Virtual Reality allow us to create our own world without limiting our imagination. It can also let us actually be there to experience the virtual world. It will be a new mode to experience a video, game or artwork.

We can almost do anything that goes beyond our imagination, anything that we may not do in our real world. Yet, the feel can be very concrete, or even more fun than real world. I hope to understand the principle and create something innovation from this course

Virtual Reality allows us to use our imagination to create various interesting world.

Virtual Reality is actually a world that allow people to explore their imagination and put them in work, making it become a "reality". It allows us to do what we could not do in the real life or make things that do not exit in reality so that we could explore our creativity. Furthermore, we could actually create our own dream world with this advanced 3D technology. And that is why I am so intrigued in virtual reality and would like to create a VR world with my imagination and creativity.

it can achieve something that the real world cannot give. if the virtual reality is real enough that we cannot differentiate, it can be a potential place of cognitive matrix to explore the unconsciousness.

As many others have mentioned, VR has great potential, but the point that fascinates me the most is its flexibility/malleability in terms of how it could be used. First, it could recreate our current reality (i.e. VR field trips, VR flight training, preservation of relics/cultural heritage etc). It could create an augmentation of reality (i.e. visualizing future construction on currently vacant land, planning revitalization of buildings), but it could also create an entirely fictional reality (VR games, entertainment). Thinking about this makes me feel like VR creates another realm of human existence that we create with technology, and when the technology matures, that realm could feel insanely real.

Virtual reality allow us to ignore most of the physical constraints in the realistic world. We can experience many dangerous environment safely in a virtual world. Besides, virtual reality let us get in touch with the things that only exist in our imagination. For example, we cannot totally immerse in Harry Potter's magic world without VR technology.

Virtual reality can show us the things which cannot be seen anymore (e.g. extinct species) which is mesmorizing. Besides, VR in the future may provide the opportunity for patient with physical disability to experience things which his or her which are limited by the health issue concern

I become interested in VR ever since I have tried on a device which plays 360 videos. I was amazed by how real it was. It was like that I was actually surfing / skiing in a real setting. You can actually feel the height while skiing and the waves coming at you while you are surfing. VR gives us a chance to experience all kinds of things that you may not be able to / you don't have the courage to try in real life. Moreover, VR provides us an opportunity to immerse in a completely virtual world, for instance we can become our favorite film characters such as iron man, harry potter. By using VR, we can experience the life that we have dreamt of, like controlling iron man's armour, joining in an Quidditch match etc. The use of VR has so many possibilities and I can't wait to discover more about it and learn how it works.

Virtual Reality is a sector which has not been explored to its fullest. There is so much potential in this field which can be harnessed to improve our lifestyles exponentially. With virtual reality people can get a taste of life which they could not have afforded. we can travel places without even moving an inch from our bed and experience all the beautiful places all around the globe. It is a toy for people of all age groups. i feel that in the coming future this would change the face of the world we are living in.

I was amazed by the virtual experience and the discussion about the depth of reality in a film called The Matrix and I find VR technology resembles a lot to it. It is mesmerizing to discover more on the topic regarding its impacts on our perception of what is truly "real".

Virtual Reality is a fantastic technology that immerses people in a simulated world but it gives a very genuine experience and feeling. This technology is a great contribution to us. People can use VR for many purposes such as military training, building design, education, etc. Besides practical use, we can use VR to create some scenes which are impossible. This can inspire creativity and let people feel the imagination and future. I believe VR will be applied in more situations and lead human development.

VR allows me to predict what may happen in the future, like zombie apocalypse. It also helps people to work more effectively, for example we can make a factory model, so that we can know how the factory and machines work from just the VR, which I think is very awesome and amazing.

I am really intrigued by the potential of virtual reality in the future as the development of virtual reality is at the early stage (although it has been developed for a long time). From 3D movies and 360 movies to 3D worlds that can be entered by audiences, I seriously believe that the developers and scientists are not satisfied by these only. Perhaps in the future, 3D objects in the virtual world can have textures and they can be held by hands, just like the one in Iron Man :)

In the real world,we are restricted by lots of limitations like physics and limited resources.However,a virtual world allows us to set our own rules and be anyone or anything,which is fascinating.

It helps people feel as if they are in a real world where they have the freedom to interact with or sometimes manipulate whats's around them. It's as if you are superheroes, because in virtual reality you can create anything, go anywhere and become anyone.

In everyday life, we are experiencing the unexpected things that we are not able to foresee. However, if we are engaged in virtual reality, we are allowed to experience the expected things that we may not be able to experience in the reality world, for examples, playing the video game as if you are one of the characters in the Star War movie. VR provides people with the ability to make the impossible possible.

Virtual Reality allows human to maximise our creativity. In virtual world, nothing is necessarily restricted as it may not cause harm to reality world. Besides, VR helps us to visualise our imaginary world. Not like movies or games, we can immerse to the virtual world, using more than visual, hearing, but also experiencing.

For example, people may create magic in virtual reality and feel how a world with magic works. With virtual reality, people can achieve anything that they have never experienced

VR opens the way for people to communicate with each other. For creators, vr can be used to express their own ideas to aduience. Innovarive VR games and films are created for higher dregee of interaction, which is the idea that creators want to deliver.

Virtual Reality allows us to test ideas and immerse ourselves in situations that would otherwise be impossible in the real world. From test flight training for pilots to roaming the medieval grass plains within a video game, VR has allowed humans to experience the impossible

Virtual reality is a platform that can be used to communicate ideas and messages in a more powerful manner than other media, because it can create simulations of experiences in such a realistic and immersive way.

It gives us a chances to create our own world, a world where things happen the way we want them to. In my opinion series like Game of Thrones and Harry Potter are famous because the authors created their own world, a world different from the real one. Though they weren't virtual but they were different. Similarly creating my own virtual world will give me a chance to create a place of my dreams.

VR allow us to do things that we can't do in real life (which we like it) for a immersive experience. I do play VR simulators like DCS world and sadly we can't pilot a real military jet!

The aspect of Virtual Reality that truly amaze me is how technology can trick our brains into thinking we are inside a completely different world that does not exist at all. Being immerse into a fictional world or a place that you always wish to be in, will truly be an amazing experience. I am so looking forward to experience the magical world of Harry Potter or explore the deep space using Virtual Reality in the coming future!

Virtual world is made by human, which means you can create your ideal world that allows you to fulfill your dream. In reality, we are confined by physical laws and social circumstances.

I am intrigued by the fact that the concept of VR itself, something that would've seemed so impossible 100 years ago, has become a reality, and is gaining the interest of people all around the world. The rapid development of VR as an educational and entertainment tool further enhances my interest in VR, as a multitude of opportunities and experiences are opened up to those who may not have had the ability to do so before.

I'm not particularly interested in how VR could be applied in real life. I'm intrigued by the technology of VR itself. I'm interested in knowing how these VR equipment works, and how to integrate these hardwares with programs to make them work the way they should be.

Technology develops rapidly these days and VR is one of the technology that we can actually use. I once played a VR game and its concept fascinates me about how advanced our technology has developed and I want to explore more about the use of VR.

The fact that virtual reality can do so many things (not only fictional things but also practical, real-life activities) really impresses me, and I am very interested in discovering and exploring the limit of virtual reality i.e. what else virtual reality technology can do.

It allow someone who always fails in reality to achieve something and find satisfactions.

I became interested in virtual worlds and virtual realities after experiencing some applications of VR such as 3D movies, 360 videos and VR roller coaster. I feel very enlightened and inspired by the possibilities and feelings that the virtual brings to my senses and my perception of the world. It also allows for possibilities that we do not think it be realised or exist in the real world. With the virtual worlds we can create mythological animals such as unicorns and mermaids.
