Everything that cannot be done in the real world. For example, people may want to fight with monsters in VR and get the excitements.

I believe that the reason why people are fascinating in the virtual world is that VR gives a large feasibility, possibility and freedom to them so that they don't need to follow the social norms. So I think what people really want to do in virtual worlds is the activities that can hardly be accomplished under the existing laws. As people living in the society have to follow different kinds of rules, it may be too tiring and stressful. VR then provides a safe and legal way for them to vent their stress and release their pressure. VR may also allow them to restart if anything goes wrong and do not require them to shoulder any responsibility. Therefore, after having these "totally free" activities, people can hence release their negative emotions and get back to real life positively.

The virtual world is a place where there are no limitations to your power. It is a place where someone can fulfil all their dreams and passions.

I feel that virtual world allows a person to explore his/her imagination and allows them to experience situations which they have never experienced before.

I believe that the virtual world offers a chance to vicariously enjoy the pleasures of an imaginative world. People would just want to do things which might be difficult for them to do in the real world. This may include superhuman acts such as flying in New York or something as basic as reading a book in the Kansas City library.
